Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC

Position Summary:

Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician – a dynamic role within Walmart’s local retail stores. Support and oversee repair of Walmart facility refrigeration HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, and power tools to complete jobs efficiently.

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Large scale rack refrigeration experience
• Type I/Type II or universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets, utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and hand, digital, and power tools.
• Use the work order management system to receive, complete, and document repair work orders supporting store staff.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training for safe operation of equipment and tools.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following Walmart’s Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights.
