Marine Technician

JBYS is seeking an experienced technician with expertise in Volvo diesel engines and/or Mercury outboards to support our expanding Great Lakes service operation.

• Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Volvo D6-D13 diesel engines and Mercury 450/600 outboards
• Performing warranty repairs, software updates, bulletins, and manufacturer campaigns
• Providing accurate service estimates and repair recommendations
• Coordinating with customers, service managers, manufacturers, and warranty personnel
• Supporting vessel commissioning, maintenance, and repair projects on boats ranging from 40′ to 74′
• Traveling throughout the region to support customers as needed

• Experience with Volvo Partner Network and/or Mer Net
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Professional tools required
• Basic mechanic owned tools
