Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustment.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Machinery repair journeyman status preferred.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Previous off-shift experience is a plus.
Travel

This position requires minimal to no travel.

Computer Skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems.
Other Requirements
  • Strong mechanical knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics, welding and torch operation and assembly and disassembly.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a high‑trust environment.
  • Basic electrical, controls and PLC knowledge.
  • Knowledge of lubricants.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to envision, suggest and implement solutions to issues.
  • Must be organized, neat and professional.
  • Must be able to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Desire to learn and grow.
Other Skills
  • Maintain and improve PMs that assure the highest level of equipment uptime.
  • Serve internal customers expediently.
  • Inform management team of potential high equipment repair expenses.
  • Assist other team members when needed.
