Position: Community Center Fitness Coordinator

Department: Community Center

Hours: Part-time position

The Fitness Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Community Center’s fitness spaces, equipment, and wellness programming. This position ensures that members experience a clean, safe, and motivating environment, while also developing classes, programs, and partnerships that encourage healthy lifestyles throughout the community.

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Recreation Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Nationally recognized fitness certification (ACE, NASM, ACSM, or equivalent) preferred.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Previous experience supervising or coordinating fitness programs preferred.
• Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office 365.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks related to fitness equipment setup or movement.
• Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
• Comfortable demonstrating fitness movements or leading group activity.
