Cycle Counter
This position is responsible for conducting daily cycle counts, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and supporting continuous improvement in inventory management.
General Responsibilities- Conduct daily cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Perform inventory adjustments, including quantity and price variance updates and related analysis.
- Report, monitor, and review daily inventory adjustments and changes.
- Assist with resolving inventory discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with Receiving, Shipping, Warehouse, Production, Purchasing, and Accounting teams while maintaining a flexible, cross‑functional approach.
- Provide inventory reports and perform research to support continuous improvement in inventory management.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability and willingness to obtain forklift certification in accordance with OSHA requirements.
- 2+ years of experience working with ordering and replenishing direct materials.
- Experience with SAP, RF devices, and Warehouse Management Systems preferred.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to concentrate, make decisions, and work effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability in changing work conditions.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain positive internal and external working relationships with a strong customer‑service orientation.
- Ability to use sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.

- Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage large amounts of data.
- Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Self‑directed with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to perform inventory transactions using computer system.
- Proficiency with email, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 5‑40 lbs.
- Step up 9 inches to enter forklift or order picker frequently.
- Regularly required to stand, use hands to grip, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to walk.
- Occasionally required to squat or crouch.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid license to operate forklifts of various types at Tennant Company.
- Sensory requirements include near vision, far vision and spatial perception.
- Routinely and regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
- Occasionally exposed to non‑toxic fumes.
- Moderate noise level typical of a warehouse environment.
- Must be able to wear safety glasses, high‑visibility vest, and safety shoes at all times.
- Must be able to wear safety gloves while handling materials during physical work.
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. The salary range reflects both entry into the role and future growth. Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits.
