Magna Engineered Glass: Temporary Cycle Counter

Job Summary

The Inventory Cycle Counter at Magna Engineered Glass performs cycle counting to verify accuracy of QAD inventory records and oversees monthly inventory for accurate perpetual inventory and month‑end close. Maintains cycle‑counting processes and procedures.

• Perform daily cycle counting of assigned inventory locations, using lift truck and order picker as needed.
• Analyze inventory records, identify root causes of discrepancies, and document errors exceeding tolerance.
• Assist Materials Group in organizing, monitoring, and conducting physical inventories.
• Maintain cycle‑counting processes and procedures per Magna Sealing and Glass Systems policies and external accounting practices.
• Initiate, develop, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of inventory errors.
• Adjust perpetual inventory records based on daily cycle‑count results.
• Contribute to accurate inventory to support month‑end closing and auditing.
• Support assigned projects, continuous improvement activities, RF training, material handling, and new‑employee orientation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental goals.
• Maintain a positive, collaborative environment and adapt to evolving business needs.

• High School diploma or equivalent; 1+ years of material handling or warehousing experience preferred.
• Valid lift truck license for sit‑down/stand‑up industrial truck (Hilo).
• Ability to move and lift up to 40 lbs during audits.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently without direct supervision.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to investigate root causes.
• Working knowledge of QAD system and PC/web applications (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with handheld scanners preferred.
• Flexible to work hours including weekends as needed.
• Team orientation and effective independent work capabilities.
• Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments.
• English proficiency required; bilingual Spanish preferred.

• Office 10%; plant 90%.
• Exposure to machinery, moving equipment, moderate noise, airborne particles, fumes, and temperature variations in a manufacturing facility.
• Occasional travel may be required (>1 time monthly).

• Prolonged standing (8–12 hrs), walking, and occasional bending, stooping, and lifting up to 40 lbs multiple times per hour.
• Repetitive use of hands (gripping, grasping, pinching, squeezing).
