Job DescriptionHolliston High School is seeking a sharp, resourceful, and forward-thinking Administrative Assistant to provide high-level mission‑critical support to our school Principal. As the strategic gatekeeper and primary liaison for the Principal’s office, you will handle everything from complex scheduling and event coordination to managing vital communications with diplomacy and grace. This role directly impacts the success of the entire school.
Responsibilities- Establish and maintain good public relations with the community, pupils and school personnel.
- Assure professionalism at all times in our school.
- Oversee general operation of the Main Office.
- Perform administrative duties to facilitate the smooth and safe operation of the school.
- Anticipate, organize, coordinate and meet deadlines and calendar events.
- Obtain, gather and organize pertinent data as needed.
- Create, develop and maintain school calendar.
- Assure accuracy and quality of all correspondence and presentations.
- Oversee office personnel and their duties and responsibilities.
- Give appropriate input and support to the Principal in creating budget documents and oversee spending and monitoring of the budget and student activity account.
- Provide administrative support in all aspects of the Principal’s administrative duties.
- Manage the completion of large long‑term projects that may require the assistance of other staff.
- Ensure confidentiality of issues and correspondence of a confidential and/or sensitive nature.
- Act as a backup to the Data Specialist.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities deemed necessary by the building Principal.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Strong technical skills
- Knowledge of Google Suite
- Spreadsheet and database experience preferred
- Ability to work and communicate positively with students, parents and staff

The check will require you to pay a fee of $55 if you hold an Educator’s License, or $35 if you are an unlicensed employee. In addition to the national background check, a satisfactory Massachusetts Criminal Record Check (CORI) is required.
