PCI is seeking an Associate Design Engineer
for its PCI New England 586 operations based in Holliston, MA.
Responsibilities include:
- Attend a kick-off meeting with design and/or operations staff at the beginning of the project to ensure the Level of Development, scope, project details, and contract requirements are understood before modeling begins.
- Actively participate in BIM coordination and design meetings.
- Develop and model scopes as requested, including, but not limited to, Interior and Exterior Walls, including framing, Ceiling and Soffit Framing, Acoustical Ceilings, Specialty Panels, Raised Access Floor, Clean Room Walls, Clean Room Ceilings, Unistrut, No Fly Zones and other specialty scopes to the required Level of Development using Revit, and other Revit add-on programs.
- Coordinate with point cloud files.
- Ensure models produced are spatially coordinated.
- Escalate any issues to the BIM Coordinator and Design or Operations Team.
- Elevate model and document inconsistencies to the attention of the BIM Coordinator and the Design/Operations Team to determine what action to take.
- Ensure all elements of the model are fully coordinated within PCI’s scope.
- Perform BIM compliance checks of deliverables.
- Utilize Navisworks Manage to run clash detection and identify potential issues.
- Use Navisworks to resolve PCI clashes.
- Attend staff training to enhance staff members’ knowledge and expertise of the standardized software used.
- Create and maintain project-specific content to ensure they are consistently aligned with instructions, guidelines, in-house standards, and the project’s BIM standards.
- Actively engage with the Design and Operations Team to implement best practices in BIM/VDC.
- Coordinate with BIM/VDC service providers and clients.
- Provide & design support tasks, including but not limited to: processing install drawings, incorporating comments, producing details, and layout files.
- Clean, prepare, and organize CAD/Navisworks files for field use.
- Special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (Construction Management, Construction Science, Architecture, Engineering Fields, etc.) preferred.
- 2-year technical degree or 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- 4+ years of BIM (Revit)/VDC modeling and coordination experience.
- Must possess proficiency with software platforms, including Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage, and BIM 360 Design/Glue.
- Must be able to present a portfolio demonstrating work in Revit and Revit Family Editor.
- Experience with Bluebeam PDF Software.
- Ability to understand design and document coordination.

- Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word.
