Holliston Public Schools is looking for a Nurse Substitute for our Extended School Year (ESY) program this summer. We have intermittent days available from June 26-August 7, including just Wednesdays from 10 am - 1 PM.
The nurse will provide primary and emergency health care; administers medication as prescribed by medical providers; and provides health care to students with specialized needs.
Requirements:
Nurse/LPN Certification
The pay rate is: $40.00/hour
Hours:
Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
- Available Dates: Intermittent days from June 26-August 7
- Daily Hours: 8 AM - 4 PM or Wednesdays 10 AM - 1 PM
- Comprehensive assessment and evaluation of students' health status.
- Serve as health advocate and provide primary and emergency health care to students, staff and visitors, with a focus in providing care to students with specialized health care needs.
- Provide appropriate staff with student medical information and guidance related to student health issues as needed.
- Provide consultation, relevant teaching, counseling and guidance to assist students and their caregivers in assuming responsibility for health care.
- Administer medication in accordance with state and school policies.
- Understanding of individual healthcare plans, 504 plans, and emergency healthcare plans.
- Utilize SNAP software to document and maintain accurate health records for students.
