PRN School Nurse-RN

Community Health Network (CHN) is currently seeking registered nurses who have current experience or are interested in working in schools on a PRN substitute basis. Learn more about our Flex Pool if you are interested in picking up hours working in schools primarily located the greater Boston and Metrowest areas.

These openings can include:

• Substitute School Nurse in office to fill in for the day to cover absences.
• Accompany students while they are transported to and from school (may or may not be required to stay for the full day with the student).
• 1:1 Assistance for medically fragile students.

The school nurse will be responsible to provide nursing care and management of the special needs of students as well as medication administration. Immunization surveillance and routine health screenings will be conducted annually. Routine emergency care will be provided for students and staff. When necessary, students will be referred to their primary health care provider for an evaluation. For students with complex medical needs, the school nurse will act as a liaison for the school, home and outside medical facilities.

Requirements:

Active MA RN license

Current BLS/CPR

School Nurse, ER, ICU, or related experience preferred
