Sourcing Manager

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Sourcing & Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing and procurement activities within the division, ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards. This role requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop strategic supplier relationships.

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for machined parts that align with the division's goals and objectives.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Evaluate supplier performance and manage supplier relationships to ensure delivery of high-quality products.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to understand technical requirements and specifications for machined parts.
• Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess market trends.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to sourcing and procurement activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices in procurement.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive initiatives to reduce expenses without compromising quality.
• Manage inventory levels to optimize supply chain efficiency and minimize waste.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and plan procurement schedules.
• Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in sourcing and procurement in manufacturing wth 3+ years leadershp experience.
• Proven track record in supplier negotiations and relationship management.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct market research and analysis.
• Strong leadership skills and experience in team management.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
