Location: Holly Springs, NC
Candidates must be willing and able to travel between four group homes serving the Holly Springs, Garner, and Sanford, North Carolina areas.
Employment Type: Full-time
Compensation: $32 - $38 an hour (depending on role and experience)
Incentives: No sign-on bonus is being offered for PRN status. No relocation package offered.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Position OverviewAs a LPN or RN with RHA, you will have the opportunity to practice holistic nursing while making a meaningful impact in the lives of others. In this role, you will provide healthcare oversight and monitoring for the individuals we support, promoting their overall health, independence, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Observe, assess, and evaluate the health needs of the individuals we support
- Deliver health‑related training to unlicensed personnel
- Educate individuals on how to monitor their own health and, when appropriate, provide medication administration training
- Administer medications and treatments, or assist individuals with self‑administration
- Ensure preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled and maintained
- Conduct medication closet assessments
- Perform quality assurance checks to ensure unlicensed personnel are completing assigned health‑related tasks accurately
- Collect and document health‑related data
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments
- Monitor for and report abnormal findings to physicians in a timely manner
- Collaborate and communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT)
- Advocate for individuals and assist in developing community supports to promote optimal health and independence
- Graduate of an accredited License Practical Nursing (LPN) OR Registered Nurse (RN) program
- Active, unrestricted nursing license
- Strong communication skills with interdisciplinary team members, individuals served, and their families
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and effectively prioritize tasks
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification
