The Triangle's premier Emergency and Specialty Hospitals are growing! We are looking for highly motivated, highly skilled individuals to join the team at our Holly Springs, NC location. We provide 24-hour emergency service and specialty referrals in surgery and internal medicine. We're looking for team members who want to utilize their skills to the fullest potential in a fast paced, fun, and stimulating environment.
We are currently seeking qualified Technician Assistants for our Emergency Department. This role functions with a great deal of autonomy and responsibility; a strong work ethic, sound judgment, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and with a team are required.
Job SummaryThe Technician Assistant role is responsible for assisting technicians and clinicians in completing daily tasks in an efficient manner. In conjunction with patient care, this role is also responsible for routine cleaning and husbandry of the hospital ensuring proper infectious disease protocols are followed.
Essential Job Functions- Assist clinicians and technicians with patient care
- Perform in-house laboratory testing
- Properly restrain canine and feline patients for exam, procedures etc.
- Assist in positioning and acquisition of patient radiographs
- Proactively assist team members throughout the hospital when necessary
- Enter patient vitals into Cornerstone and other necessary basic entries into patient records
- Identify items low in stock and enter on inventory order list as appropriate
- Complete daily and weekly cleaning task lists
- Assist in cleaning duties including but not limited to laundry, sweeping/mopping floors, taking out the trash/recycling, cleaning treatment areas, cages, counter tops and bathrooms
- 1+ years of experience in the veterinary field preferred
- Experience with proper canine and feline restraint preferred
- Graduation from high school or GED equivalent required
