We are on the hunt for an experienced Mechanic at our Holly Springs, GA terminal to work 2nd shift. The Mechanic is responsible for repairs and the maintenance of Class-8 diesel powered tractors and tank trailers, both internal and external customers, as well as ensuring the road worthiness of company equipment. We operate late model tractors and trailers!

The ideal candidate will have:

* Maintenance background in the trucking industry.

* Experience with Kenworth tractors.

* Experience with Cummins.

Responsibilities

* Perform preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers while utilizing personal safety equipment as required

* Move trucks and trailers in and out of shop for maintenance

* Open repair orders and charge the appropriate parts to the repair order

* Perform tire inspections/appropriate paperwork to company standards

* Perform shop clean-up and housekeeping responsibilities as well as other miscellaneous related duties as assigned

* Inspects and maintains basic vehicle/accessorial worthiness including proper fuel levels and tire air pressure, fluid levels, brakes, lights, and safety equipment and submits reports indicating condition of equipment

* Comprehend and perform Driver Vehicle Inspection Repair (DVIR) process

* Install, diagnose and repair Geotab telematic devices

* Perform trailer preps

* Trailer and hose inspections per HM-183 standards

* Perform work on frame rail and sub frame

* Possesses and demonstrates the ability to perform assigned tasks in a manner that adheres to the companies Safety, Health, Environmental and Security policies
