Practice Manager - Jupiter

Overview

In partnership with the chief of staff, the Practice Manager plays a vital role in the hospital, managing day‑to‑day operations so the medical team can devote their time to delivering the highest quality veterinary care. Medical practice management skills will be put to use to drive business results, and people leadership skills will be applied as you develop associates and foster an engaging team environment.

You’ll ensure clients and patients have a positive experience and help optimize the growth of both businesses.

• Interview, hire and develop associates
• Evaluate hospital processes, progress and productivity
• Train associates on client education about wellness plans, preventive care, pet health needs and hospital services
• Educate associates on Banfield guidelines and practices
• Budgeting and planning for the hospital
• Support daily operations and staff
• Schedule associates, coordinate time off and manage continuing education needs

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline preferred; equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides required knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Three years of related experience required (health care, veterinary profession, service industry, etc.) including direct supervisory experience (hiring, associate development, etc.)
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem‑solving ability
• Conflict‑management experience
• Leadership and analytical know‑how
• Knowledge of veterinary practice operations is preferred but not required
