Salary Range: $49,258.00 To $54,402.00 Annually
Description- Ensure high‑quality instruction linked to the school and district strategic goals for all students with a focus on students who are English Language Learners.
- Provide a rigorous academic environment that actively engages students; incorporate best educational practices; create an inclusive environment that addresses the needs of all learners and supports the social/emotional development of the students.
- 90% of Pre‑K–2nd students are on/above grade level in reading, language, and math.
- 85% of 1st–2nd students are on/above grade level in reading, language, and math.
- 80% of students achieve Level 3, 50% achieve Level 4, and 20% at Level 5 on FAST exams.
- 50% of all students in Intervention grow two or more years in Reading and Math.
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students.
- Help shape and develop a school‑wide culture that fosters a productive and enthusiastic learning environment for each student.
- Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with students and families based on trust, understanding, and respect for the communities in which they identify.
- Coach and support teachers in planning, delivering, and assessing quality instruction for ELLs.
- Plan, model, and co‑teach effective lessons with teachers.
- Analyze ACCESS for ELLs and assessment data to identify areas for improvement, establish goals, and monitor improvement.
- Coordinate and facilitate teacher study group activities and the sharing of successful lessons to ensure the successful implementation of the program.
- Meet regularly with ESL liaisons regarding classroom practices and ongoing feedback.
- Participate in ongoing professional development by attending workshops, lectures, and institutes on specific subjects to enhance job performance such as knowledge in language acquisition, literacy development, coaching skills, and adult learning theory.
- Spending a minimum of 40+ hours at school per week.
- Value the voices of all staff, families, and students.
- Work in collaboration to meet the needs of all stakeholders.
- Seek and respond well to feedback and collaborate to find solutions.
- Earned bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution;
Florida certification in at least one area of exceptionality. - Bilingual skills are preferred.
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
- Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
- Ability to write IEPs.
- Knowledge of the referral, evaluation, and placement process.
Light work:
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move.
