ROLE: The SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER will provide support to QA, Supply Chain, suppliers and customers with regard to the continued operational safety of airworthy flight hardware.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide support for QA, Supply Chain and suppliers regarding drawing interpretation, manufacturing methods, and inspection methods.
- Evaluate non‑conforming materials, analyze non‑conformance for fit, function, safety, and reliability, and communicate findings with QA, Supply Chain and suppliers as required.
- Complete Engineering Changes with supporting substantiation and drawing changes as required for product improvement.
- Provide support for customers and operators regarding our products.
- Participate in design reviews for supplier changes, product changes and/or improvements for production parts.
- Perform reviews of first‑article inspections and documentation for dormancy and supplier changes of production parts.
- Review and provide feedback to suppliers on the manufacturing process plans for production parts.
- Provide guidance to more junior Project Engineers on designs, methods, regulations and procedures.
- Develop test plans for production parts.
- Design tooling and/or fixtures to aid in the inspection of production parts.
- Other related duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
EXPERIENCE:
- 5 to 10 years of aerospace/mechanical design or manufacturing experience.
- Experience using 3D CAD software (Pro-Engineer, Solid Works, etc.).
- Experience with aerospace design, testing, manufacturing and/or maintenance.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES:
- Language:

Skills:
MS Office, 3D CAD software (Pro‑E, Solid Works, etc.). - Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to work with probability and statistical inference, plane and solid geometry, trigonometry, percentages, ratios, and proportions. - Reasoning Abilities:
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, interpret technical instructions. - Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance and Standard Measurement & Test Equipment for Aerospace products (preferred).
- Knowledge of aircraft engine components, controls & accessories, and/or aircraft interiors (preferred).
- Knowledge of basic structural, thermal, and modal analysis of mechanical components (required).
- Knowledge of aerospace materials and coatings (preferred).
- Knowledge of conventional aerospace manufacturing methods—including milling, turning, grinding, lapping, stamping, forging, casting, molding, EDM, ECM, welding, brazing, heat treating (required).
- Strong organizational skills, strict attention to detail, and ability to multitask and prioritize with minimal supervisory direction.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to get the job done timely.
- Ability to thrive in a team‑oriented, deadline‑driven environment.
- Ability to analyze all aspects of a situation to gain thorough insight and make informed decisions.

The duties of this job require sitting, hand use, talking/hearing, frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
WORK ENVIRONMENTThe position primarily operates in a low‑noise office environment, with occasional exposure to a moderate‑to‑high noise level manufacturing floor that may include machinery, equipment, and chemicals.
