Fire Sprinkler Qualifier, Drafter, Designer
Hollywood, FL
Key Responsibilities:
* Engage in the preparation of detailed Computer Aided Design (Hydro
CAD) drawings to assure the efficient and effective placement of our products and systems
* Assure that designs are consistent with required specifications and building code.
* Applies experience and simple judgment to make decisions within defined options or standard protocols - follows through on issues
* Create Hydro
CAD drawings from sketches, verbal instructions and/or sample parts.
* Examine drawings and other engineering documentation to verify completeness and accuracy of data
* Assist the engineering department in the development, evaluation process, and improvement of manufacturing methods within the plant facility.
* Demonstrate safe work practices in accordance with Mircom's Safety Program, OSHA, and EPA
* Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
* Able to perform trigonometric mathematical and/or statistical operations regarding engineering product design and applications
* Lead a team of 20
Skills and Qualificaions:
* Related Degree with applicable experience.
* Nicet certification I or II in Water Systems design is desirable.
* Fire Protector Conractor License 1/2
* 2- 5 years related experience.
* Leadership expereince
* Written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Proficient with AutoCAD, Hydrocad, and other drafting related software.
* Proficient with typical Microsoft computer software
* Related experience in the fire products business is a real plus.
* Well organized with strong planning and organizational skills.
* Attention to detail.
* Quality orientation.
* Able to organize multiple projects
