Front Desk Representative
Our client, a leading Insurance Company is looking for a Front Desk Representative. This is for an initial duration of 03-04 Months Contract – Miramar, FL.

Job Description Essential Functions Check-In
- Greet patients and other visitors arriving for appointments
- Check patients in: (enter demographics, insurances, and authorizations)
- Responsible for the timely verification of medical insurance benefits
- Verify online or call insurance companies or primary care physicians to obtain benefit information and confirm authorization and referrals prior to visit
- Coordinate with patients regarding their insurance benefits and medical provider program
- Collect all co-payments/balances upfront
- Call PCPs to obtain referrals and/or authorizations if required by new insurance
- Obtain new providers information to add to Next Gen
- Obtain, verify, and enter patient information into EMR. Ensures the accuracy of all entries
- Scan paperwork to EMR
- Complete end-of-day closing duties
- Assist in cross-training new personnel on front desk duties
- Answer phones promptly and courteously, handle requests and inquiries, or route as appropriate
Check-Out
- Check out every patient
- Make follow-up appointments and follow appointment scheduling protocol and forcing power protocol
- Post charges and keep the posting of capitations up to date
- Fax back the notes to the PCP or referral physician
- Collect Co-payments for Self-Pay Patients or any pending co-payments to be collected
- Scan all supporting documentation into the patient's chart
Essential Functions (alternative)
- First point of contact between patient and office.
- Greet and help patients by scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and answering telephone calls and inquiries
- Optimize provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling
- Communicate with the Doctor and Office Manager of scheduling changes and updates
- Verify patient insurance records and obtain authorizations for services
- Maintain office inventory and equipment by ordering necessary supplies
Job Specifications Typically has the following skills or abilities:
- High School Diploma
- 1-2 years of Customer Service experience
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle and diffuse patient complaints and disagreements
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience navigating Electronic Medical Records and Outlook
- Bilingual English/Spanish (if requested)
