** Overview*
* The Associate Automation & AI Engineer supports the team by building reports, automating repetitive manual work, and applying AI-assisted tools to low-complexity operational tasks that may have technology or service impact. Partnering with stakeholders to understand their needs, this early-career role develops Power BI reports, supports basic automations and integrations between systems, and learns to use AI tools to improve reporting and reduce manual effort.
The Associate Automation & AI Engineer takes ownership of their work product with guidance and works as an individual contributor under immediate supervision, with structured mentorship to build their skills over time. The emphasis is on learning, not expertise: the goal is to understand how systems, data, and integrations work, to interact with stakeholders to turn their needs into practical solutions, and to steadily grow into more independent, higher-impact work.
** Duties and Responsibilities*
* + Partner with team members and stakeholders to understand their reporting and information needs.
+ Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards using approved, governed data sources.
+ Learn how the team's systems, data sources, and integrations work, building understanding over time rather than being expected to be an expert on day one.
+ Assist with automating repetitive, manual tasks using tools such as Power Automate and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
+ Learn how API integrations work and help connect systems (for example, Service Now with other platforms), with guidance.
+ Assist with data and integration platforms such as Databricks to help build reports and connect systems, learning these tools as you go.
+ Learn to use AI to help build reporting and dashboard solutions and, over time and with guidance, support simple machine-learning (ML) models.
+ Write and maintain simple scripts (e.g., Python or Power Shell) to support automation and data preparation.
+ Test reports and automations to confirm they work as intended before they are used.
+ Assist with operational and incident-related reporting and help improve the quality of operational data.
+ Help keep clear, up-to-date documentation for the reports, automations, and workflows you build.
+ With mentorship, grow toward identifying automation opportunities and recommending simple solutions.
** Minimum Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's degree in any field, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on IT or technical experience. A degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems) is helpful but not required.
+ Typically, 1 - 3 years of experience in an IT, technical support, operations, or other relevant role.
+ Basic knowledge of reporting and automation tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Automate, and a scripting language such as Python or Power Shell).
+ Basic comfort working with data (e.g., spreadsheets and databases).
+ Strong communication skills and the ability to work with people to understand their needs.
+ Eagerness to learn new tools and grow technical skills on the job.
+ Native-level proficiency/fluent in English.
** Preferred Skills*
* + Exposure to Microsoft 365 Copilot or other AI-assisted tools for automation, summarization, or reporting.
+ Familiarity with IT service management platforms (e.g., Service Now), including their reporting or AI and automation capabilities.
+ Interest in learning data and integration platforms such as Databricks to help build reports and connect…
