Buyer 2 Position

We are seeking a full-time Buyer 2 at Garmin's office in Miramar Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the semi-complex acquisition of assigned commodities and products and also must drive performance to meet world-class levels in supplier Quality, Cost, Delivery and Service (QCDS). Essential functions include managing supplier development, developing and negotiating Request for information (RFP) proposals, managing the planning, ordering and delivery of all components, products and services to ensure on-time delivery across all levels of the organization, closely monitoring inventory levels of assigned commodities and products to maximize inventory turns and minimize exposure to obsolescence, demonstrating significant contribution to process, product and new product introduction, reviewing, analyzing, developing and negotiating while suggesting improvements on multiple procurement contracts in support of Garmin's master Production Schedule (MPS), preparing cost price analysis for various supplier partnering agreements and projects, driving and developing a supply chain strategy, partnering closely with Engineering, Quality, and Marketing to develop new sources of supply in support of new product development, demonstrating and supplying an understanding of department processes/procedures, work instructions and training requirements for the Purchasing Department in support of ISO
9000/QS9000, and demonstrating continued improvement to ensure departmental goals and metrics are met or exceeded with improvements to bottom line.
