Job Summary

Trane in Maitland, FL is hiring a Construction Project Manager. The Construction Project Manager is responsible for project financials, administration, implementation, management, and customer satisfaction for all assigned projects. They lead the project team through all facets of the project and are the established point of contact for stakeholders. The role manages a portfolio of projects that may include both smaller and larger multi‑building or complex construction projects.

The candidate must be knowledgeable about the current job market, pricing strategies, and has the ability to support sales functions with developing scope.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective actions, and developing communication plans with internal and external stakeholders to provide timely project updates.
  • Lead all aspects of project administration, including knowledge of and adherence to contract penalty clauses and/or liquidated damages, analyzing reports to identify project deficiencies and provide guidance on corrective actions, managing projects to business compliance, project documentation, safety guidelines, and navigating governing agency requirements at state, city, county, federal, and local levels.
  • Financially manage all aspects of projects, including cash flow, monthly forecasted cost/revenue, forecasted cost at completion, monitoring expenses, collections support, applied cost, and oversee preparation and communications for monthly backlog review with leaders.
  • Validate project scope, cost, and schedule by reviewing contract documents, holding internal meetings, establishing customer expectations, identifying risks, and developing mitigation plans.
  • Utilize properly qualified subcontractors, oversee the subcontractor RFQ process, award subcontracts, manage subcontractor execution, and collaborate with subcontractors to establish communication guidelines for project progress, project meetings, billing expectations, and project safety.
  • Create and maintain project schedules utilizing tasks, dependencies, and milestones.
Qualifications
  • Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Project Management degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years’ experience with Project Schedules / PM Construction software.
  • Extensive financial analysis experience, including cost segregation, margin analysis, earned value management (EVM), or similar project‑based financial methodologies.
  • Strong financial project management ability with sufficient technical or construction knowledge to manage scope, schedule, and risk.
  • Prior experience resolving collections and customer financial issues during project execution.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations (including but not limited to DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving, or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions within the previous 3 years).
