The Senior Manager, Clinical Informatics leads a specialized team within the Clinical Informatics organization responsible for the delivery and ongoing support of assigned clinical content, terminology, analytics, AI-enabled, and other informatics initiatives. This role is accountable for team performance, execution, quality, resource planning, and operational outcomes within the area of responsibility.

The Senior Manager translates department strategy and priorities into team-level plans, ensures successful execution of projects and operational commitments, and develops team capabilities. Working within the Clinical Informatics Leadership Team and with Product, Engineering, Clinical, and business stakeholders, this role focuses on delivering high-quality results through effective leadership and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage the day-to-day activities, priorities, and performance of direct reports; provide coaching, feedback, performance management, and career development support; allocate resources and balance workloads across competing priorities; and build team capability through training, mentoring, and succession planning.

  • Operational Execution & Delivery: Lead the execution of projects, operational initiatives, and ongoing support activities within the assigned area of responsibility; monitor delivery timelines, quality measures, operational metrics, and customer commitments; identify risks, dependencies, and resource constraints and accelerate as appropriate; implement and continuously improve processes, standards, and best practices; and ensure delivery outcomes meet established business and operational objectives.

  • Clinical Informatics & Content Operations: Oversee the maintenance, quality, and continuous improvement of clinical content assets, terminology mappings, data standards, and informatics solutions; ensure adherence to governance, quality, compliance, and operational requirements; support automation and process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, scalability, and data quality; and coordinate issue resolution and remediation activities within assigned domains.

  • Analytics, AI, and Data Solutions: Lead the delivery of analytics, reporting, machine learning, and AI-assisted solutions within the assigned area of responsibility; monitor performance, adoption, and effectiveness of delivered solutions; ensure work products meet business requirements and quality standards; and leverage operational and performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for continuous improvement.

  • Stakeholder

    Collaboration:

    Partner with Product, Engineering, Clinical, Customer Success, Quality, and other stakeholders to execute agreed-upon priorities; communicate team progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes; and support cross-functional initiatives and organizational objectives through effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 9+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Pharmacy, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field
