The Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine is seeking a motivated and dynamic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its growing team of providers. Memorial serves a diverse population in Broward County, with over 13,000 deliveries annually. The selected candidate will collaborate with MFM physicians to cover multiple outpatient clinics. Responsibilities will include performing clinically relevant physical exams, determining risk stratification of high-risk obstetric patients, interpreting fetal heart rate tracings and ultrasound reports, and developing an appropriate clinical approach to high-risk patients.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of high-risk obstetric diagnoses and standards of care as well as experience in womens health. Nurse Practitioner candidates must have a national Family Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification. A national Women Healths Nurse Practitioner Certification is preferred but not required. Physician Assistants must have a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or Masters equivalent) from an ARC-PA accredited program and possess a Physician Assistant Certification.
A BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross and a Florida license must be obtained by date of hire.
Schedule requirements are Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM. This is a full-time employed position that offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
