Summary:
Manages the daily operations of the assigned department, unit, or function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
- Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.
- Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, labor utilization and retention, payroll, and student engagements.
- Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives that directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
- Monitors departmental budgets and regulatory compliance.
- Determines and justifies needs for systems, equipment, and supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and stock supplies.
- Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and evaluates the needs of patients and families.
- Provides patient- and family-centered care and manages complaints and conflicts through to resolution.

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (required) or enrollment in an accredited program.
- Three (3) years of nursing experience and one (1) year of supervisory experience.
- Registered Nurse license (State of Florida), RN Compact license (Compact RN Multistate), or equivalent.
- Certification requirements: BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross) and related E-Cards.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment with decisive judgment and effective communication.
- Bending and stooping, climbing, lifting/lowering patients up to 35 lbs, pushing/pulling non‑patient weights, standing, walking, repetitive hand/arm movements, and other physical activities as needed.
- Exposure to biological hazards, hazardous chemicals, and biohazardous waste up to 80%.
