Job Type: Part time
Caring Hearts Clinic (CHC) offers traditional family healthcare services and prides itself on being more than just a medical practice. This APRN position is part‑time, 4 hours a day up to 16 hours a week with great flexibility. The clinic has served the New Port Richey community and surrounding area for over five years, is privately owned and operated, and specializes in primary care (including managed care and direct primary care), with a growing emphasis on prevention, chronic disease intervention/management and DOT exams.

- Manage chronic conditions, evaluate and treat patients’ medical needs, and work with a capable, compassionate team to improve community health.
- Review and prescribe patient medications and order them when necessary.
- Work independently with strong communication and collaboration under the direction of the Program Physician or Program Lead APRN.
- Refer patients who require care outside the clinic’s scope of practice.
- Educate patients about health insufficiency and its complications.
- Educate clients on pre‑ and post‑treatment care for long‑lasting results.
- Offer DPC plans available at the clinic to clients.
- Initiate basic wound care.
- Collaborate with referring physicians.
- Record clear and accurate medical documentation in the patient’s medical chart.
- Assist as needed with office coverage under direction of the Program Lead APRN.
- Follow all applicable medical care regulations and safety protocols.
- Perform DOT exams (if not qualified, obtain certification within a month).
- Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license required.
- FMCSA approval to conduct DOT medical examinations.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical/hospital setting.
- EMR experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to assess the full scope of patient needs.
- Ability to build rapport with patients.
- Conduct courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
