Location:
Hollywood, Florida. Memorial Healthcare System provides patient- and family-centered care and offers opportunities across multiple facilities. This role provides direct patient care in a designated specialty unit in accordance with scope and standards of practice and the organizations policies, values, and mission.
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral, and spiritual and psychosocial support needs.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on assessment to optimize outcomes and resources.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel.
- May precept student nurses and new hires.
- Education and Certification:
Accredited Nursing Program (Required). - ACLS, BLS, and related E-Card or RQI E-Card certifications as specified for applicable units (American Heart Association and Red Cross credentials).
- RN license in Florida (or multistate Compact as applicable) and meeting state requirements.
- Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience required.
- Department-specific credentials and ongoing education per policy (e.g., chemotherapy/biotherapy provider certs, PALS for pediatric areas, NRP for NICU, fetal monitoring certs, ACLS/BLS timelines for new hires).
