Job Description: Our client is seeking an Equine Associate Veterinarian to join a respected thoroughbred-focused practice based at Fair Hill Training Center in Elkton, Maryland. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who is passionate about equine sports medicine and performance horse care, and who thrives in a collaborative, mentorship-driven environment.

The practice is dedicated exclusively to the care and treatment of thoroughbred racehorses, providing comprehensive veterinary services to elite equine athletes. You will work alongside an experienced team within a well-established network that offers professional development and long-term career growth. Both early-career and experienced equine veterinarians are encouraged to apply.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing preventative and performance-based care for thoroughbred racehorses
• Conducting lameness evaluations and diagnostic workups
• Developing treatment and rehabilitation plans
• Maintaining accurate medical records and regulatory compliance
• Collaborating with trainers, owners, and veterinary colleagues

Qualifications Needed:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) or equivalent degree
• Eligible for or currently licensed to practice in Maryland
• Strong interest in equine and performance horse medicine
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
