Pay Range: $18–28
Uses predetermined methods, inspection operations and prescribed specifications to visually inspect solder and conformal coating of circuit card assemblies IAW IPC-A‑610 & IPC-J‑STD‑001 requirements. Role will incorporate use of drawings and written inspection instructions. Use of various measuring devices (dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, etc) to 100% visually inspect circuit card assemblies to manufacturing and industry specifications including IPC and related reference documents and standards.
Basicqualifications include the following:
- Must be able to work under a microscope for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)
- Must be able to sit at the workstation for long periods of time
- Must have prior experience visually inspecting solder connections, for both SMT and Thru hole applications in accordance with IPC-A‑610 & IPC-J‑STD‑001 requirements.
- Must be able to identify non-conformances per applicable documentation, specifications.
- Minimum 2 years of experience performing visual solder inspection on CCAs.
- Minimum 1 year experience inspecting conformal coating on CCAs.
- Must have good attention to detail, be quality and process oriented with a zero‑defect mindset, proficient at interpreting drawings, diagrams, parts lists, navigating and understanding IPC standards, revision control, reference documents and work instructions.
- Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with personal computers.
- Interface effectively and diplomatically with all levels of operations when addressing quality defects.
