Overview
A Quality Technician I is expected to be able to inspect all incoming product, utilizing the tools/equipment in the QA lab. Through specific job training, the inspector shall perform their job within authorized EO inspection procedures, and under the direct guidance of the Quality Manager.
Responsibilities- Inspection of incoming and outgoing product following criteria on print.
- Packaging all product per print, best practice and/or work instruction.
- Ensuring that product meet all requirements prior to shipping.
- Perform fundamental inspections, including:
- Perform dimensional inspection of glass.
- Inspections that require use of lab equipment such as the interferometer, spectrophotometer, Spherometer, etc.
- Read and understand optical & mechanical drawings.
- Document inspection data accurately on required forms such as final log, inspection report, COC etc.
- Engage in continuous improvement projects.
- Timeliness and regular attendance are required.
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
The ideal candidate will have prior supervisory experience. To succeed in this role, candidates must be able to perform all essential functions effectively. - Ability to read and understand optical & mechanical drawings.
- Familiar with the use of Calipers, Micrometers, Drop Indicators, and good measurement practices.
- Familiar with use of Microsoft Suite products
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Work overtime as required.
- Thorough understanding of the seriousness of accurate, honest, Quality Records
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (preferred)
- 6S, Lean and/or Continuous Improvement Experience (preferred)
- US Citizenship or permanent residency required.
High school diploma, associate degree Preferred.
Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 30 pounds; ability to see details at a close range; ability to sit or stand for long periods of time; work performed in warehouse environment.

The actual offer will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, education, work experience, business needs, and geographic location.
Salary Range$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
