We're seeking a skilled Return to Service Technician to join our Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) team in a unique hybrid role that combines technical repair expertise with quality inspection responsibilities.

This unique position is designed for experienced professionals who enjoy both solving technical challenges and ensuring components meet the highest standards. In this role, you will own the repair process from hands-on troubleshooting and repair through final inspection and Return to Service.

What You Will Do

  • Perform the assembly, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and overhaul of aircraft electronic accessories, components, and subassemblies.
  • Diagnose product failures and determine appropriate repair, rework, replacement, or disposition while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, engineering requirements, and company procedures.
  • Conduct final inspections to verify product integrity, workmanship, documentation accuracy, and conformance to customer, regulatory, and quality requirements before return to service.
  • Generate Authorized Release Certificates (ARC), FAA Form 8130 documentation, Certificates of Conformance, scrap certificates, and other required release documentation.
  • Read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, work instructions, and specifications to complete repairs and inspections.
  • Perform functional testing, electrical continuity, insulation resistance, dielectric testing, and unit shakedowns to verify performance and identify loose hardware or foreign objects.
  • Record repair and inspection activities within SAP and other operating systems while maintaining complete and accurate maintenance records.
  • Partner with technicians, engineering, quality, and customer representatives to resolve technical issues, support audits, and ensure products meet all Return to Service requirements.
  • Identify nonconforming conditions, document findings, and coordinate repair or corrective actions to ensure only compliant products are released.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a safe, organized work environment and consistently meeting Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality standards.
  • Independently manage work assignments, prioritize multiple activities, and provide technical support to teammates as needed.
  • Serve as the site's Final Inspector during the latter portion of the mid shift, ensuring uninterrupted Return to Service support after first-shift operations conclude.

    Hours:

    Monday-Friday 12PM-8:30PM

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to meet FAA language requirements under FAR 65.71(a)(2) and FAR 145.155.
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and/or work instructions.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • 3+ years of experience repairing or inspecting aircraft components in an FAA Part 145 repair station or comparable environment.
  • Experience performing Final Inspection or Quality Assurance responsibilities.
  • Experience using SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations, quality systems, and aerospace documentation requirements.
