Needed Immediately:
Manager of Quality Assurance in Fort Pierce, FL.
The Quality Assurance Manager develops, implements, and maintains the company’s quality programs and systems to ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulatory and agency requirements, and to consistently meet performance and service standards. Provides subject matter expertise compliance and technical guidance on company policies, regulatory requirements, industry codes, standards, and agency guidelines. Partners with Senior Management, Project Managers, and Production to ensure sustained compliance through ongoing process surveillance and oversight.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a quality professional working under an ISO, NQA-1, 10
CFR
50 Appendix B, and/or ASME Section VIII-based quality assurance program. - Excellent knowledge of metal fabrication, pipe fabrication, machining, welding, and coating/painting processes.
- Level II Inspector Certifications (VT, PT, MP) in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A preferred.
- Knowledge of welding processes desirable (CWI Certification)
- Lead Auditor qualification is a plus.
- Strong computer proficiency required.
- Able to read, understand, create, and edit engineering drawings/blueprints.

- Review, update, and maintain quality assurance policies and programs on a regular basis.
- Review bids and proposals and provide quality-related guidance to Program Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
- Oversee production fabrication, inspection and testing activities to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Manage and maintain the ASME Section VIII Boiler and Pressure Vessel program.
- Manage and maintain the NQA-1 quality program.
- Ensure quality program manuals are current and distributed as required.
- Maintain welding program WPS, PQR, and WQTR qualifications in accordance with ASME Section IX.
- Provide general and project-specific oversight to ensure quality requirements are performed correctly and on schedule.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors and regulatory inspectors throughout the audit process.
- Lead internal/external audit and inspection readiness activities.
- Oversee timely closure of audit and inspection findings.
- Manage/Oversee the Document Control process and maintain controlled documents and QA Records in the company digital records repositories.
- Review project documentation to confirm contractual and quality program requirements are understood and met.
- Evaluate and Approve Quality Suppliers
- Maintain the approved supplier list.
- Provide indoctrination and training to new and current QC staff on applicable policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Initiate and maintain QC staff certifications for Inspection, Nondestructive Testing (NDT), and Visual Acuity.
- Plan, schedule, and document personnel training and qualification activities required by the QA program.
- Verify shop production fabrication material identification and traceability records (Travelers) and nonconforming material reports for completeness and accuracy.
- Investigate and close customer and field complaints in accordance with the QA program.
- Monitor and maintain the operational integrity and calibration of instruments, gauges, and specialized measurement and testing equipment.
- Supervise Quality Control (QC) and Nondestructive Examination (NDE) staff.
- Maintain a positive, high-performance work environment.
