About the Role
Join 3D Contracting of Central Jersey Inc. as a Commercial Construction Estimator/Project Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping exciting commercial projects. This dynamic position combines estimating and project management, offering you the chance to lead initiatives from conception to completion. Responsible for supporting the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a construction project. Provide overall leadership for on-site field administration, supervision, and technical management for all construction operations, including direct supervision of 3DG Site Superintendents and other construction-related personnel.
Direct them in planning, coordination, and execution of work on time, within budget, attaining or exceeding profit goals, maintaining a safe workplace, promoting and enhancing client relationships, and the company image.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development of the project schedule and communicate sequence and schedule updates to all subcontractors and vendors.Maintain and enforce a project site logistics and temporary facilities plan.Maintain and enforce a project site‑specific safety program in accordance with Policies and Processes, OSHA requirements, local, state, and federal laws, to include all subcontractors.Maintain and enforce a project‑specific quality assurance and workmanship program to include all subcontractors.Perform and monitor all job site control reporting measures, including daily reports, monthly reports, accident reports, and timesheets.Coordinate daily construction activities within existing operating facilities.Execute a plan for monitoring and completing punch‑list items. Coordinate all required field inspections.Provide technical assistance to all members of the project team.Develop and mentor subordinates towards a successful career with the company.Promote the growth and development of client, subcontractor, and vendor relationships.Identify new work opportunities and inform Sales and Marketing of potential projects with current clients.Manage and coordinate 3DG personnel and resources for the project.Coordination with client representatives, architects, engineers, construction managers, and consultants to establish project requirements, budget, specifications, and schedules.Utilize 3DG systems to oversee project performance, including project status, budget, schedule, and personnel.Manage the project using established project controls and procedures.Communicate with owners, architects, and subcontractors related to project risk, timetables, costs/budgets, and change management.Provide job‑site leadership in the area of safety and quality.Understand and administer 3DG contract and subcontract agreements.Establish, update, and communicate the Master Project Schedule and manage its implementation.Keep management informed on the progress of the project and the budget through regularly scheduled Operation Review Meetings.Facilitate weekly project status meetings with owner, owner’s rep, vendors, subcontractors, and others connected with the project. Prepare and distribute meeting minutes, indicating agreements reached, task assignments, and related information.Review subcontractor and vendor invoices throughout the lifecycle of the project and approve for payment or negotiate appropriate changes with subcontractors.Prepare and submit change orders for approval of the client and the V.P. of Operations. Prepare and submit invoices to accounting for final billing. Ensure subcontractors are notified of all change‑order documentation.Prepare all project close‑out documentation, including submittal of all warranty information, affidavits, record drawings, final retainage payments, releases, and accounting‑related documents. Ensure final payments are received from the client, and appropriate invoices are paid to subcontractors.
