Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This role offers the chance to support large-scale, mission-critical data center and hyperscale infrastructure projects across multiple US markets. You’ll be a dedicated estimator, not a dual-hat PM, working closely with experienced delivery and engineering teams. The position provides long-term stability, exposure to complex Division 27 scopes, and the opportunity to influence high-value bids for some of the most demanding infrastructure environments in the industry.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced ISP Estimator to join a growing Data Center Division, supporting data center, hyperscale, and carrier hotel projects nationwide. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in low-voltage infrastructure and structured cabling systems, with proven experience estimating complex internal build-outs for large-scale, mission-critical environments.

This role plays a critical part in developing accurate, competitive, and profitable cost proposals for new construction, retrofit, and expansion projects within data centers and enterprise facilities.

Reports To: Director of ISP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for ISP (Inside Plant) construction projects, including fiber and copper cabling, containment systems, racks, cabinets, power and grounding, and related low-voltage infrastructure
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and RFPs to determine scope, materials, labor, and equipment requirements
  • Develop take-offs, bills of materials, and pricing models for both self-performed and subcontracted work
  • Collaborate with project management, engineering, and field operations to ensure constructability and alignment of estimates with actual field conditions
  • Support proposal preparation, pricing strategy, and bid presentations for hyperscalers, data center operators, and carrier clients
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of unit pricing, vendor quotes, and labor productivity metrics
  • Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and scope compliance
  • Participate in project hand-offs, providing detailed cost breakdowns and scope clarification to project management teams
  • Continuously refine estimating processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with corporate financial goals
  • All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • 7–10 years of experience estimating low-voltage or structured cabling projects, preferably within data centers, hyperscale facilities, or carrier hotels
  • Strong knowledge of ISP construction methodologies, including rack and cabinet builds, ladder rack installation, pathway design, testing, labelling, and fiber/copper terminations
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices, including TIA/EIA, BICSI, and NEC
  • Proficiency with estimating and take-off software (e.g., Bluebeam, Accubid, Plan Swift, or similar)
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret complex construction drawings and specifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external partners
  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy in fast-paced environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent field experience will be considered
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience supporting hyperscale clients or large data center operators
  • Working knowledge of ISP and OSP cost…
