Preschool Teacher

Overview

St. Catharine Preschool, in Holmdel, New Jersey, is seeking a joyful and inspiring Preschool Teacher to support the Catholic faith and academic excellence of our preschool working with children ages 2.5 to 5 years. Knowledge of Reggio Emilia and early childhood experience is recommended.

• Bachelor's degree required
• Successful background check and fingerprinting required before employment
• Schedule:
  
  20-25 hours per week

• Have attended or be willing to attend a Virtus Protecting God s Children training
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with or training in the Reggio Emilia Approach to Early Childhood Education
• The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing, faith-based learning environment that supports the spiritual, academic, and social development of our youngest learners
• Provide engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction following school curriculum guidelines
• Maintain a positive, structured, and caring classroom environment
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and parents to support student learning and well-being
• Creating a nurturing, structured, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
• Supporting the spiritual, emotional, social, and cognitive development of young children
• Fostering curiosity, independence, wonder, and joy
• Thoughtfully integrating Catholic values into daily instruction and classroom life
