Environmental Service Group Leader (Housekeeping) – Full Time – Day

The Environmental Services Group Leader is responsible for establishing the daily routine and additional assignments. These duties include routine work and projects. The leader sets up breaks and lunch schedules, orders supplies, reports equipment problems, works with new employees for training and orientation.

• Assess the need for floor care and perform appropriate tasks.
• Perform between‑case clean‑up as well as terminal clean‑up according to standards.
• Perform periodic and project cleaning.
• Collect and dispose of trash and linen appropriately.
• Perform non‑patient care area cleaning such as locker rooms, office space, lounges, etc.
• Participate in QI activities and work area inspection.
• Assume responsibility for care of equipment.
• Operate and clean machinery, troubleshoot when necessary, and report all needs for repair.
• Maintain adequate levels of supplies and report need for replacements.
• Follow Universal Blood and Body Fluid Precautions.
• Serve as a resource to the department by teaching cleaning techniques, assuring proper use of chemicals and machinery, serving as a preceptor to new employees, and reporting all work progress to the next shift.
• Lifts a minimum of 100 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 250 lbs., and stands throughout the shift.
• Adhere to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies.

• Minimum of 1 year as an Environmental Service Aide.

Starting at $17.32 hourly. HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members.
