Overview
Head of Group Benefits Operations Technology is a senior technology leadership role responsible for managing Group Benefits Operations applications and the aligned business function within the Group Benefits Digital and Technology organization. The position leads a diverse team, develops and executes the Group Benefits Digital and Retail strategy, and ensures delivery of initiatives, financial stewardship and operational stability of Group Benefits Operations Technology.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute Group Benefits Operations Technology strategy, continuously aligning it with overall Group Benefit Operations business plans.
- Integrate your area of responsibility with Group Benefits businesses and Guardian Life.
- Manage financials for initiatives, team and function.
- Oversee all technology related to Group Benefits Operations applications, including performance, efficiency and effectiveness of engineering and development teams.
- Ensure alignment with Guardian Life and overall Digital and Technology objectives.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for technology related initiatives across the organization.
- Account for the performance of operations applications, using data and insights for informed recommendations.
- Drive simplification and automation of Operations Technology applications and platforms.
- Identify new opportunities from trends to evolve the current ecosystem.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and leaders across Group Benefits and Guardian Life.
- Proven technology executive with a business‑oriented mindset and understanding of how technology drives ROI and growth.
- Strategic leadership in IT and software, aligning initiatives with company goals.
- Experience delivering applications that improve customer experiences and revenue.
- Strong understanding of end‑to‑end customer experiences, processes, and technology utilization for efficiency.
- Planning, execution and oversight of technology projects, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends with a culture of innovation.
- Significant experience in Agile and global large‑scale programs.
- Significant experience leading and overseeing application support.
- Significant experience managing third‑party outsource rs and managed service relationships.
- Significant experience in software development engineering and release management.
