Material Handler (3‑6 month Contract) (Onsite in Holmdel, NJ)Location: Onsite 5 days per week in Holmdel, New Jersey
Rate: $17.00‑$21.00 per hour
Must Haves:- A minimum of 1‑2 years previous shipping and/or receiving.
- Must have experience with doing transactions in an MRP system.
- Must be able to work onsite in Holmdel, New Jersey 5 days per week
- Responsible for performing a variety of semi‑routine and complex tasks to ensure material transactions are done accurately and promptly.
- Creates and transacts all required receiving documentation.
- Works with purchasing to confirm their receiving requirements.
- Assists with the receiving and stocking of material and required inventory transactions.
My Client seeks a Material Handler who can work independently with minimal direction. This person will be responsible for performing a variety of semi‑routine and complex tasks to ensure material transactions are done accurately and promptly. The material handler creates and transacts all required receiving documentation. The material handler works with purchasing to confirm their receiving requirements. The material handler assists with the receiving of material, stocking of the material, and required inventory transactions.
JobSpecs:
- Adhere to strict procedures while performing all functions associated with receiving material into stock and properly completing all receiving paperwork, including paperwork for RMAs and demo equipment.
- Process shipping orders related only to miscellaneous shipments (kitting, parts, basic employee requests for Fed Ex, UPS), including proper product packing while adhering to strict procedures.
- Perform material kitting and verification of pick lists.
- Fill shortages by pulling inventory parts.
- Conduct cycle counting and/or physical inventory as required.
- Utilize JDE software to enter all transactions.
- Utilize Agile to download the paperwork needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines while performing duties.
- Assist other stockroom employees and store managers as required.
- Assist in receiving RMA's and LDR returns.
- Assist with shipping, backfill, and busy times of the year.
- Order processing with JDE DSI
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1‑2 years previous shipping and/or receiving.
- Must have experience with doing transactions in an MRP system.
- Basic knowledge of Agile software.
- Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Data entry skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to handle the pressure of tight deadlines.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
