- Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care to provide safe and excellent individualized patient-centered care.
- Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and other members of the health care team regarding patient status, rendered care, education and treatment plans.
- Responsible for optimal patient/guest satisfaction and care experience according to Meridian Health standards.
- Medication administration and titration utilizing the latest clinical documentation technology to ensure the safest delivery of medications.
- Patient and family centered care aimed at optimizing health, wellness, disease management and end of life care.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration in management of patient plans of care and goals from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning and continuum of care.
- The Assistant Nurse Manager facilitates unit operations, oversees scheduling, payroll, and budget needs, and accommodates unit needs including patient assignments.
- Responsible for all tasks delegated by the Nurse Manager including patient assignment, disciplinary actions, education, mentoring, scheduling and budgeting as appropriate.
- Fills in for the Nurse Manager in their absence, understanding scheduling, budget allocations, hospital and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Minimum of an associate in nursing or diploma of Nursing degree.
- BSN in progress and/or willingness to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required.
- Minimum 3 years recent nursing experience in the specialty or equivalent.
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support (HCP) Certification required.
- National Certification acceptable to the Magnet Recognition Program and appropriate to your specialty (within two years of hire).
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs; strong sense of accountability, teamwork, ongoing education, and passion for delivering high quality care.
- MSN preferred.
- Supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
Minimum rate of $ annually. Minimum base pay is a reasonable good faith estimate in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of our market-competitive total rewards package.
