• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care to provide and ensure safe, individualized patient-centered care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and other health care team members regarding patient status, care, education, and treatment plans.
• Responsible for optimal patient/guest satisfaction and care experience according to Meridian Health standards.
• Medication administration and titration utilizing the latest clinical documentation technology to ensure safe delivery of medications.
• Patient and family-centered care aimed at optimizing health, wellness, disease management, and end-of-life care.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration in management of the patient plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning and continuum of care.
• Facilities unit operations, oversees scheduling, payroll, and budget needs. Flexible to accommodate unit needs, including taking a patient assignment.
• Responsible for all tasks delegated by the Nurse Manager, including patient assignment, disciplinary actions, education, mentoring, scheduling, and budgeting, and other assignments as deemed necessary.
• Fills in for the Nurse Manager in the manager’s absence, understands scheduling, budgeting, and hospital/regulatory policies and procedures.

• Associate degree in nursing or nursing diploma (Bachelor's preferred or in progress; willing to acquire within three years of hire).
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required.
• Minimum 3 years of recent nursing experience in the relevant specialty or equivalent.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (BLS/HCP) certification required.
• National certification acceptable to Magnet Recognition Program and appropriate to current specialty (within two years of hire).
• Strong ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and work in a collaborative, patient-focused environment. Commitment to ongoing education, teamwork, and delivering high-quality care.
• MSN preferred;
  Supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.

Minimum rate of $ annually. Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members.
