Staff Accountant | Holt, MI

Salary Range: $57,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and various balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Analyze production costs and assist in variance analysis for manufacturing operations.
• Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation for manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to gather financial data and insights.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience in general accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
• Experience with an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite)
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with inventory costing and analysis
