Advanced Quality Engineer | Holt, MI

Salary Range: $89,000 - $130,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Holt seeking Advanced Quality Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced quality control plans and inspection methodologies.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions for complex quality issues.
• Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other data analysis techniques to monitor and improve product quality.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure quality requirements are integrated throughout the product lifecycle.
• Conduct supplier quality assessments and drive improvements in supplier quality performance.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior quality engineers and manufacturing personnel.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• ASQ certification (e.g., CQE, CSSGB, CSSBB) preferred.
• Strong understanding and application of statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA).
• Proven experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification
• Experience with Minitab or similar statistical software
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing methodologies
• SAP experience in a manufacturing environment
