The Lathe Operator is responsible for set up, perform offsets, and operate CNC lathes according to the established standard work for production purposes.
WHAT YOU WILL DO- Select programs, collets, bushings and tooling for setup on CNC Lathe.
- Perform setups as needed on CNC Lathe.
- Operate CNC Lathe for production.
- Complete required router information.
- Perform first piece first article and in-process inspection of parts.
- Manufacture parts to manufacturing prints or customer prints.
- Maintain tooling on CNC lathe.
- Perform weekly, monthly and quarterly maintenance on machine.
- Perform housekeeping per 6S schedule.
- Performs set up of 3 & 4 Axis CNC machines.
- Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
- Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance.
- Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
- Makes off sets and adjustments to machines with minimal supervision.
- Advocates for the health and safety of self, co-workers, customers, and the community.
- Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Completes all required training.
- High School Or Equivalent (Preferred)
- Lean Manufacturing Experience (Preferred)
- Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing (Preferred)
- 2+ Years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment (Required)
- Machining Trade School (Preferred)
