GROUNDSKEEPER/PARKS MAINTENANCE (FULL TIME)

Under the direction of the Director of Buildings and Ground, performs a variety of tasks related to recreational and township parks. Assists in the maintenance of township grounds and equipment including mowing, trimming, fertilizing, gardening, snow and ice removal. Performs various repairs and maintenance on township equipment and tools. Trains and directs temporary and seasonal work crews in the maintenance of township property and equipment.
Operates tractors, power mowers, and a variety of hand and power equipment.
- Education:
Possession of a High School diploma or the equivalent. Some skills trade training and grounds maintenance preferred. - Experience:
Three years' of progressively more responsible work in grounds maintenance and facility repair. - Other Requirements:
Possession of a valid Michigan Driver’s License. Possession of a Michigan Department of Agriculture Pesticide Applicator's License or ability to obtain within one (1) year from date of hire.
Probationary Period:
Twelve (12) months
Salary Range (Pay Grade
6): $26.32 - $31.59

Hours to be worked: 40 hours/week - will include evenings and weekends on a rotational basis and may include some holidays
