- Lead your team of quality engineers and inspectors to deliver results while ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Support all shifts of operators and inspectors. Ensure quality control and quality assurance activities are robust across shifts.
- Partner with safety, operations, engineering, materials, and maintenance teams to meet deliverables and solve problems.
- Evaluate and approve technical data and work instructions in support of engineering and operations.
- Lead the Material Review Board Crib members and Clinic members to ensure inventories and projects are managed. This may include conducting investigations, providing analysis, and developing recommendations for corrective actions for nonconformities.
- Develop proactive quality initiative strategies and drive their implementation.
- Perform Escape Management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions for internally produced products & processes.
- Promote the Product Safety and Quality culture in the business, through compliance to the QMS and adherence to Quality Cardinal Rules.
- Manage the internal audit and corrective action programs. Champion best practices to reduce quality notifications, Cost of Poor Quality, Accruals, Time on Part, and Customer returns.
- Represent our business with external customers and suppliers. Build relationships and actively resolve concerns.
- A University degree and minimum 10 years of Quality, Operations, Engineering, or related experience in a manufacturing, operations, or related field; OR an advanced degree with minimum 7 years of experience.
- U.S. citizenship required (only U.S. citizens authorized to access information under this program/contract).
- The ability to work across organizations to find solutions and ensure quality and product safety are always part of the calculus.
- Adept at leading product or process non-conformance investigations and rapid resolution.
- Root Cause and Corrective Action experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings and specifications.
- Data analysis and strong Excel skills.
- Experience with First Article Inspection, PPAP core elements, and AS9100 standards.
- Certification(s) from the American Society of Quality (ASQ) or equivalent.
- Experience with Lean, Six-Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Salary range: $132,400 USD – $251,600 USD.
