Role Description s:
Electrical Engineer to join our Enterprise Mobile Computing ECRT team. You will lead the technical evaluation| characterization| and validation of secondary-source electrical components to secure supply chain resilience| reduce BOM costs| and maintain the rugged| high-performance standards of Customer handheld| tablet| and wearable devices.
Component Evaluation:
Proactively research| evaluate| and test alternative/2nd-source electrical components (e.g.| PMICs| passive components| memory| connectivity modules| and displays) to secure supply chain continuity and optimize costs.
Validation Testing:
Design and execute comprehensive electrical test suites to validate that alternative components meet all functional| performance| and reliability requirements without degrading the host device.
Hands-on Hardware Debug:
Operate advanced electrical test equipment such as Oscilloscopes| digital multi-meters| and power supplies to perform root cause analyses| characterization| and signal integrity testing.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical| RF| manufacturing| and firmware engineering to ensure 2nd-source components integrate seamlessly into existing printed circuit board (PCB) designs.
Compliance & Reliability:
Ensure all validated hardware changes adhere to ISO 9000 standards and ruggedized enterprise specifications (drop-spec| temperature| humidity| and EMI/EMC).
