Director of Wellness – The Bristal Assisted Living, Holtsville, NY

We are seeking a Director of Wellness with supervisory experience in geriatric services to direct, manage and support our Wellness Department.

Schedule:

Tuesday – Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Managing daily day operations for the Resident Health Services Department 24/7/365
  • Demonstrating skilled and confident leadership in hiring, training and scheduling team members
  • Developing and coordinating service plans
  • Conducting resident assessments, both on and off site, in conjunction with the Case Manager
  • Communicating with physicians, residents and families
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance in accordance with the New York State Department of Health
Qualifications
  • Must have an active New York State RN or LPN License
  • Knowledge of New York State Department of Health regulations for Adult Home or Enriched Housing is a huge plus
  • Four-plus (4+) years gerontological nursing and administration experience required
  • Case Management experience a plus
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences
  • Successful management or supervisory methodology with experience managing a department as well as interviewing, hiring, scheduling and training team members
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Be a person of the utmost integrity, with an absolute commitment to resident care
  • Hold experience in assisted living, home health or a skilled nursing setting
  • Having a sense of humor, confidence and composure‑under‑pressure are key qualities that we look for!
