Diesel Mechanic - Shift

• Starting salary $25‑$32.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Stable hours for your financial stability
• Tool allowance worth $250 quarterly
• Boot allowance worth an additional $200 a year

• Monday – Friday, every week
• Shift: 11:30 am to 8:00 pm
• Overtime and some Saturdays available
• Repair/maintenance shop at our Holtsville, NY hauling site

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
• Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles, prioritizing employee and community safety.
• Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage and accounting for repair times.
• Assist senior mechanics in project work.
• Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work per established safety procedures.

• 2 years of relevant work experience
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Over 18 years of age
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to perform physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations
• Successfully complete and pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical exam

• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constant standing, walking, and grasping; occasionally sitting and balancing
• Exposure to physical occupational risks such as cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, etc.
• Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, and similar elements
• Operations both inside the garage/shop or gas plant and outside conditions including inclement weather, heat, and humidity
