SummaryAnalyzes, develops, designs, and maintains test cases for the organization’s products and systems. Performs system integration of software and hardware to maintain throughput and program consistency. Develops, validates, and tests structures and user documentation. Creates, maintains and executes overall test plan and test strategy. This role will be a key part of a team helping to coordinate manual and automated testing needs for the project.
Responsibilities- Ensures proper execution of test procedures and automated test suites and scripts.
- Understand business requirements and develop test strategies for different types of required testing and requirement traceability.
- Work with both the Product Owner and development team to understand QA needs and develop QA Test Plan accordingly.
- Work with team members from QA, Dev Ops and Developers for implementation & deployment.
- Establish strong working relationships with team members and cross-functional teams. Cross BU collaboration and release planning.
- Follow established Agile process and QA best practices, process and guidelines for high-quality releases.
- Execute various testing activities such as Acceptance, Regression, System, Functional, Integration and some level of Performance testing.
- Provide accurate problem identification, root cause analysis, ticket documentation and resolution.
- Identify dependencies and risks/concerns with testing activities or release schedule. Plan for end-to-end system testing cycles in a physical lab.
- Work with the team on CI/CD pipelines, automated build, test, deploy and support.
- Support trials of new infrastructure designs/services.
- Lead and manage QA related project tasks by working with Jr and Mid-level QA to follow best practices and coding standards.
- Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. - Preferred Work Experience (years): 5+ years’ experience with manual and automated testing.
- Strong experience using Java and Junit testing.
- Experience with Kafka and MQTT.
- Experience with Devcontainers (docker & Kubernetes).
- Experience working with databases like MySQL, Postgre
SQL, Mongo
DB, Cassandra. - Experience working with Windows and Linux.
- Experience testing RESTful API using Postman or similar tool.
- Must be a self-starter and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Continuous Integration (Jenkins) and Continuous Delivery.
- Experience testing using Client AWS or GCP is a plus.
The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is $60.00 - $65.00/hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
