Customer Service Representative / Service Advisor

We are a family owned and operated Ford Dealership with 100 employees. Join our team and become part of the Marcotte Ford family! This role is open to an entry level or experienced Customer Service Representative/Service Advisor. The Customer Service Representative / Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling repair work for the shop, writing work orders, preparing estimates for repair work, explaining maintenance requirements to the customer, and working with factory warranty and extended warranties.

Experience a plus but is not required; the company will train. The position is full-time with an annual salary of $45,000–$70,000, negotiable based on experience.

Job Description
  • Ascertains automotive problems and services by listening to customer descriptions of symptoms, clarifying details, and checking vehicle maintenance records.
  • Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, causes discovered, repairs and services required; obtains approval signatures; enters RO into service database system.
  • Proactively and consistently communicates with customers regarding status of their vehicle using preferred communication method (text, email, phone).
  • Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records.
  • Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor, calculating customer payment.
  • Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtains customer approval of estimates; provides contact numbers; answers questions and concerns; arranges towing and temporary transportation.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading manufacturer publications.
  • Upholds the organization’s reputation and standards as outlined in the employee handbook.
